Lab 13 Reflection

Image
Lab 13 was exactly the same like Lab 12 but in other words, the next step to a better and more improve Lab. In this Lab we did everything that was already done in Lab 12 but make the form that we did more functional. By this i mean learn and add more codes of JavaScript. Throughout the whole process i was kinda lost cause it was my first time doing a webpage and making a form with JavaScript but i manage. Now i know that i little more about it i got to complete my first form and make it work. So know when we put your information like your Name, Phone Number, and Address and click "okay" a little screen will pot out and tell you that it will contact you very soon and to have a "nice day ;)". Thanks to JavaScript i was able to do that.

York College STEM Trip Reflection

Image
On March 3, 2017 some of the Web Academy family attended to this event/trip. In this trip we were all join by some of the seniors and sophomores, so it was a variety of all 3 grades. We took the Cheese Bus to get to where we needed to go and i thought that was pretty cool since usually we just take the public transportation to get to were we need to go.  Throughout the whole bus ride i felt asleep. When we go there we were sited down in an auditorium. That's were we started to heard out about the stories of different speakers and gather more information about the army. Since this event was founded about the Army, basically we had to hear about and me as i person who literally have no interest in joining the army or being part of it, i was amaze to heard out everything that the speakers had to say. And i learned a lot and now know that army won't hold back anyone from having an education in college or doing what they want and following their dreams. As well i learned a lot

Lab 12 Reflection

Lab 12 was the first lab in were my classmates and I were going to start using JavaScript. For the completion of this lab I basically used my knowledge of HTML and CSS to do the main basics of codes to create my webpage. Adding attributes of JavaScript of the first time was truly i pain but something I've been waiting to do for a long time. For this lab we had to create a From and buttons using <script> </script> and inside those tags included a whole bunch of other contents.              At first i had no problem in doing this lab since i have everything that i needed done. However the main struggle of all this was trying to make sure that my buttons worked. I spend most of my time looking at my code to make sure everything was alright and perfect. Lastly it took me like about the end of  period to notice that i forgot to add a semicolon and add the id name "demo".             Overall i had a good learning experience doing this type of lab

Lab 11 Reflection

Lab 11 was also part of Project 3. However I believe this was one of the most important labs of them all. In this Lab we had to work with Adobe Photoshop CS6 to complete it and pretty much this lab was about creating a visualization for our upcoming project 3 homepage on how we wanted to look like. Pretty much like a wire-frame this one depicts the page layout or arrangement of the website’s content, including interface elements and navigational systems, and how they work together. To begin all with I started to put things i would put in my homepage. So in other words the type of fonts i would be working with and the color and that different typed of navigation bars that i wanted to included, as well as the buttons in my pages and many other details. Thanks to this Lab i had little trouble creating the homepage for my projects and gave me a lot of time to add more stuff. I believe that this type of Lab should be given because it helps the person a lot by gathering their thoughts a

Lab 10 Reflection

During Respect for all Week we started to do a project, and that project was broken down into parts were Labs were done also. In this Lab we started to create Wire-frames for our project. A website wire-frame, also known as a page schematic or screen blueprint, is a visual guide that represents the skeletal framework of a website. Wire-frames are created for the purpose of arranging elements to best accomplish a particular purpose. The purpose is usually being informed by a business objective and a creative idea.  In my wire-frames i started by creating the layout of how i wanted each page to look like. I ended creating about 6 wire-frame. Throughout this Lab i ended up realizing that wire-frames really helps you a lot by organizing yourself and saving you a lot of time. Thanks to the wire-frames that i made i had very little problems and working on my Project for Respect 4 for all Week. And I really recommend other people doing this when working on big project or begging to create th

Facebook Hackathon

Image
On March 04, 2017,  there was a hackathon being hosted by Facebook, and of course everyone in the Web Academy had to assists and be there. Obviously like the last hackaton that i assisted too we had to be there at 8 in the morning till 8 in the night. In all honesty i wasn't looking forward in going but however i did. That morning i woke up late but as soon as i got up, i got ready and left. Once i got there everyone else was already there and i was so lost and din't know what to do. I ended up knowing in the little time that i was there that we had to be in groups of 2 or 3 and since i got there late everyone already was in there groups ( good way to feel like an outcast) However i manage to find someone and that was my pal William. Throughout the whole day I'll be working with that guy in whatever we had to do for ten hours straight.      The main purpose of this Hackaton was for every individual there to get prepare for the AP exam that we all will be taken in April.

My LGBT Project Reflection

Image
This week was about Respect for All, and that is something every known during February. During that week we had to chose a topic that relates to Respect For All Week. Now out of all the topics i chose to pick about the LGBT Community. The LGBT community stands for  lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. In use since the 1990s, the term is an adaptation of the initialism LGB, which was used to replace the term gay in reference to the LGBT community beginning in the mid-to-late 1980s. Pretty much it's a loosely defined grouping of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender and LGBT-supportive people, organizations, and subcultures, united by a common culture and social movements. I decide to pick this topic for Respect for All week and create a website on it because i feel like everyone deserves to be respected. And what i mean by that is that no one should be judge by there sexual orientation because at the end of the day we are all humans and we all deserve the right to love whoever
